Nestled between the two Donegal villages of Creeslough and Carrigart is the hidden gem of Donegal Boardwalk Resort. In all, there are 27 premium holiday homes spread amongst 3 small cul-de sacs. Each horseshoe-shaped cluster contains a mix of 9 detached and semi-detached stone clad houses. The surrounding grounds are meticulously maintained and the tarmacked surfaces are just perfect for walking and cycling.
A short drive from the Resort’s entrance brings you past the three clusters of holiday homes and the first children’s playground directly down to the public carpark in front of the Boardwalk Café Bistro, the all-weather five-a-side, tennis, basketball court, the second children’s playground and of course, the gateway to the boardwalk itself. A 25-minute leisurely stroll will bring you directly to the magnificent horseshoe-shaped Trá Mór beach. The boardwalk’s surfaces are smooth and ideal for pushing prams and buggies or riding bikes. From the villas to the beach is approximately a 5km round trip (1km Boardwalk & 1.5 km to end of Beach) and a very enjoyable walk taking in stunning scenery including views of Muckish mountain.
